(7/72021) - The No. 17 Fastenal Ford, known for prominently featuring top suppliers of Fastenal, will change gears this weekend at Atlanta and feature Fastenal’s own FAST Solutions brands. FAST Solutions represents Fastenal’s industry-leading innovative supply chain solutions which help companies save money, streamline efficiencies, and focus on what they do best. Each brand on the No. 17 car represents a different supply chain solution offered by Fastenal:
FAST Solutions – FMI (Fastenal Managed Inventory) Technology: A range of solutions to simplify, monitor, and control your inventory.
FASTVend: Bringing visibility and control to assets and high-use consumables. FASTVend allows users to collect more meaningful data around parts that are most vital to their supply chain.
FASTBin: From manual programs to automated solutions. FASTBin is perfect for managing those higher dollar and more frequently used parts that benefit from electronic monitoring for a more streamlined supply chain.
FASTStock: Tailoring a custom solution to take waste, touches, and delays out of your supply process. Specifically, FASTStock allows you to manage lower frequency and lower dollar parts that don’t need as much attention.
“We’re always excited to have Fastenal’s suppliers on the car when we compete, but we’re really excited to be running the FAST Solutions car this weekend at Atlanta. We use FASTVend and FASTBin Solutions in our shops here at Roush Fenway to build our cars every week, so it’s great to feature them on the car,” said Chris Buescher, driver of the No. 17 Fastenal Ford. “These solutions make sure we always have the product we need in stock and close at hand. It allows our guys to build cars without interruption, and really lets us focus on what is most important: building competitive race cars every week.”
Now in the 11th year of partnership, Fastenal first joined the fold in 2010 as the primary partner on the No. 60 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) team and driver Carl Edwards. That team went on to win the owners championship with Edwards in 2011. Fastenal later served as a primary on Buescher’s No. 60 Ford that captured the NXS Championship in 2015. In May, Fastenal extended their partnership with Roush Fenway Racing as the anchor sponsor through 2024.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have our FAST Solutions services featured on the No. 17 Fastenal Ford this weekend at Atlanta,” said Jeff Hicks, Vice President of FAST Solutions at Fastenal. “Roush Fenway has been a great partner to Fastenal over the past 11 years, and we’re excited to be featuring our solutions which they use in their shop. Not only is this a great branding opportunity, but it also shows how as a company we are shifting gears from being known as an industrial supplier, to being regarded as a world-class supply chain partner that offers innovative business solutions that help businesses run more efficiently.”
