Fastenal Ford at Iowa Speedway
Carl Edwards and the No. 60 Fastenal Ford return to action this weekend on ESPN2 as it continues its season-long coverage of the NASCAR Nationwide Series, with live prime time racing on Saturday night, July 31, from Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. The race coverage airs on ESPN2 beginning at 7 p.m. ET with NASCAR Countdown, with the race telecast at 7:30 p.m. and the green flag at 7:44 p.m.
Carl Edwards on racing at Iowa Speedway:
“Iowa is close to home for me and a special track. I just spoke to the president out there and he said they were really close to being sold out. It will be very cool to run there for the second year in front of my friends and family. Fastenal will have a lot of associates there, too. The area has a lot of great racing and the fans out there understand it. We had a great race last week at O’Reilly Raceway Park and made up some ground in the championship run, we need to build on that at Iowa.”
Crew chief Drew Blickensderfer on racing at Iowa Speedway:
“The Fastenal team has been extremely strong during the past few weeks. We need to continue that streak and build upon it even more in order to remain competitive. The Roush cars ran pretty strong here last year, so we’ve taken that information and massaged the car back in the shop this week. I’m ready to be in victory lane one more time during our mid-west run this year.”
