Edwards, Fastenal at Road America Saturday
Remember to tune into ESPN2 Saturday at 3:00 PM EST as Fastenal returns to the No. 60 Ford at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. This marks the first time the NASCAR Nationwide Series will visit the 14-turn, 4.048-mile track, the only NASCAR race run at the track was in 1956 with Tim Flock winning the event.
Carl Edwards on racing at Road America:
“I was really sad to not see Milwaukee on the schedule, but then they announced that Road America would replace it. So, were still going to be in Wisconsin where a lot of those great fans are. That area has one of the most race savvy crowds that we race in front of. It will be really special for us to win since Fastenal will be on the car and we are basically racing in their backyard. I’ve been doing everything that I can to learn about Road America to prepare myself. Its going to be fun…you know going to new race tracks is part of the adventure of racing. That’s why I got into it. This weekend will be a blast. ”
Crew chief Drew Blickensderfer on racing at Road America:
“We have some momentum after the last few weeks so we can’t wait to get to the race track this weekend. Carl is a great road racer and we had a good test at Road Atlanta. It is always neat to go to a new track, especially one with as much history as Road America.”
